Join us for a day of cooking, learning and eating with Vermont grown foods & the farmers who grow them. We'll be doing this popular class in our bakery kitchen and finish with a meal outside in the gardens, sharing the knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniqes, baking sourdough bread in the wood fired oven, making sauerkraut & kimchi and information on how to grow and prepare those wonderful heirloom tomatoes that will be fresh and ripe just around that time - in short, it's all about the bounty our region has to offer.
For this class we're not only opening the bakehouse and kitchen doors to cook and bake with you, but we're also inviting local food producers to bring their products and share their knowledge as well.
We will start with a short bakery & garden tour, harvest some of the things we will use in the cooking class, mill some fresh flour in the bakery and sample some delicious Vermont-grown foods. The class will conclude with a farm-to-table style dinner in the bakery gardens (thus "bakery-to-table"...) with the dishes we made in class and much more.
