Travel from Paris to the Bretagne with us, exploring origins and techniques of French bread making. Accompanied by typical ingredients of the French countryside we will hand-shape and bake almost forgotten bread recipes from France and create a simple meal with bread, cheese and ingredients from the garden, just like you would find it in the countryside of Brittany: Rustic, artful, subtle and full of flavor. 

We explore the basics of bread making - pre-ferments, starter cultures, shaping and baking - and talk about the different grains and techniques used in classic French breads. Then we hand-shape and bake our own loaves with an authentic recipe from the Bretagne which you will take home.
While creating our tasting menu we look at the history of French culinary traditions and regional specialties, using our own garden vegetables, culinary herbs and ancient grains like spelt and heirloom varieties of wheat and rye in a way it's been used in France to this day. 

While also exploring the origins and history of the most iconic bread of France - the Baguette - we focus on going back in time, shaping our own rustic loaves from scratch and baking it in the wood fired oven for tasting.

After cooking, shaping and baking bread we will prepare the garden table for the tasting meal and enjoy a true feast - it's just like spending a day in France.

- Full Payment is due upon registering for a class. We understand that there will be circumstances whereby you will need to cancel your course or change the date. Given two weeks or more notice we are happy to offer a full refund.

- If we need to postpone or cancel a class either a full refund will be given, or you can use your payment as a credit towards any future class.

- If you need to cancel last minute - one week or less of the class date -  a full refund will be offered if we can refill your booking. Otherwise no refund can be offered.
