This class is all about baking with apples!

Learn the tips, tricks and secrets for baking Tarte Tatin (the iconic French dessert), a classic American Apple Pie and the German Apfelkuchen - the quintessential German fall treat.

In this class, we will learn the techniques for making all these beloved classics, including making a foolproof pâte brisée shortcrust pastry dough, a naturally leavened dough for Apfelkuchen, and the secrets of pie making.
We also include tips on how to use a puff pastry dough that will allow you to whip up a tart in no time! Have you ever wondered how to create a delicious filling that doesn't overly moisten your crust? Or how to make a yeasted cake dough with natural leavening? Get all your questions answered in this class!

Furthermore we will talk about the history of baking with apples across Europe, how those traditions came to the Americas, look at different recipes and variations, and discuss apple varieties and how to select the best apples to use for baking.

This is a fun, interactive online class you can take from the comfort of your kitchen - and we include recipes and ingredient lists so you can bake everything at home.

A Q&A will round up the "apple-centered" evening of baking. Join us!
