Make something different for Valentine's: The Persian Love Cake is an iconic cake with a fragrant rose and cardamom scent, which brings brings you right to the gardens and markets of the orient.

Made with a blend of almond and semolina flours, and flavored with cardamom, citrus and rose petals, this cake is moist and fragrant and can be decorated in many ways. We will learn how to seal the cake with a rose water syrup and decorate it with rose petals and pistachio and a zesty icing.

We will learn about the spices, scented waters, and other ingredients common to Persian cuisine, and how to source and prepare these ingredients for maximum flavor. Anna will also demo how to make a cultured cream often served with the cake.

As the cake bakes, we will learn a chocolate truffle recipe that is simple and so delicious, you never want to buy truffles again!
