1/2/2016 - Classes and Workshops

After many hours of exchanging ideas, discussing topics, traveling & tasting, baking & cooking we are very excited about our upcoming class series "Culinary Journey Around The World", which includes (baking-) trips to Italy, France, Germany, Scandinavia and beyond.

We will start on Feb. 21 with a culinary journey to Naples, Italy, where we explore the origin and traditions of Neapolitanian Pizza. The birthplace of pizza still values the craftsmanship of the pizzaiollo (the expert pizza-maker), and we will learn everything from the unique geographical and environmental conditions that make the region around Naples world renowned for its pizza, to applying hands-on technique and baking skills to make it authentic. With these skills you can easily bring Pizza to your home kitchen and oven.

More classes will follow, please check our class schedule.
A tasting lunch is always included, and there will be plenty of time for questions and discussions.

 

11/5/2015 - Shelburne Vineyard Autumn Wine and Food Festival this Saturday

I will be at Shelburne Vineyard's wonderful autumn festival this Saturday, Nov 7 from 11am - 5pm - if you are in the area please stop by. Admission is free with donation; please bring a non-pershable item for the Chittenden County Food Shelf - lots of wonderful Vermont food vendors will there!

6/23/2015 - Hudak Farm Store open for the season - with \bro:t\ (bread) on Saturday!

St. Albans and Swanton customers can now shop for our breads and fresh bavarian pretzels at Hudak Farm - their farm store is open for the season!
They will receive a box of freshly baked classic sourdough bread & pretzels every Saturday afternoon until October - but don't just go there for bread!  It's an amazing local farm with all kinds of seasonal fresh veggies, delicious strawberries, corn, cheese, jams, syrup etc.  

Thanks for supporting local!

6/8/2015 - Meet me at the Farmers' Market in Fairfax

The Fairfax Farmers' Market starts on Thursday, June 11 on the parking lot of the Carriage House Restaurant on the corner of Main St (Rt. 104) and Rt. 128 in Fairfax. The market runs every Thursday from 4pm until dusk, June to mid October.
