    Stollen is a very special European holiday bread with a rich history, traditionally made during the winter holiday season and served during Advent and the New Year.

    It is inextricably linked to the holiday traditions of Germany and has been made for hundreds of years. First recorded in 1474, several regional varieties exist, the most famous one being made in Dresden/Germany.

    Our Premium Stollen is an original recipe from the German National Bakers' Academy. Every single one is hand-made in our bakery, buttered twice and cured for 2 weeks for optimal flavor before available for purchase.

    We use only the best ingredients for our baked goods and you can taste it: Local Vermont farmstead butter, heritage flours, premium candied fruits and our very own, freshly ground spices make all the difference.

    Passion, expertise and the best ingredients come together in making a true Stollen. Every year during the holiday time Brot Bakehouse is delighted to bring these centuries-old traditions of German Stollen-making in its most authentic form to Vermont and beyond.
